Terms and Conditions
Agreement Conditions
1) Preventative Maintenance Membership includes a 40-point safety and performance inspection. It includes the testing of both the heating and cooling. Coil cleaning refers to cleaning accessible areas of the condensing coil in place without removing any component not designed as a permanent service access, i.e., service door panel. Evaporator coils are not included. Water is used to rinse coils. Outdoor coil must be within 25 ft. of a water hose faucet. Techniques used for clearing the condensation line can vary. If your condensate line stops up within the term of your annual membership, the customer will be allowed to use their “1 free service call” to service the drain line using compressed air without an additional charge. If required, the use of chemical clearing agent and cutting the line open or disassembly as required to achieve proper access to the line will be at an additional cost. The cost for this varies depending on individual applications. In some cases, a condensate line may not be reasonably cleared due to condition. If this is the case, AiRCO will notify you and provide a written proposal for replacing, re-routing, or adding a condensate pump at an additional price. AiRCO is not responsible for damage resulting from a clogged drain line or condensate leak from the air handling unit. Servicing the condensate line, the use of Secondary drain pans and “float switches” are required but they do not guarantee that water will route to areas that will not result in damages to the home. All of the measures included are preventative only.
*2) Chemical Cleaning Add On includes the use of an alkaline-based condensate drain line solvent designed to treat organic matter. The Chemical Cleaning add on also includes adding condensate drain tablets that are placed in the primary condensate drain pan and last up to 3 months. Cutting the condensate drain line open or any disassembly of the condensate drain line to achieve proper access to the line will be at an additional cost.
**3) Clean Air Add-On refers to utilizing a specialized machine to fog the interior of the supply ductwork with an approved sanitizer to treat surfaces inside the duct system. Duct Sanitization can only be performed if current ductwork is reasonably clear of dirt and/or debris. Ductwork systems also need to be properly sealed. The “Clean Air Add-on" does not restore old ductwork or clean old ductwork that requires replacement. We do not guarantee or warranty mold or mildew. This is a preventative measure only.
***4) Benefits Package. Part replacements included in the Benefits package are limited to the following: universal 24V transformers, capacitors, contactors, single state pressure switches, universal flame sensors, small wiring repairs within the unit, basic single stage non-OEM thermostats and simple electronic refrigerant leak searches. The Benefits Package does not include ANY repair which is not listed in this agreement. Communication systems, mini splits and any system used for any commercial use are not eligible for the Benefits Package. These repairs are limited to a maximum of 5 listed repairs per year. Note: More than one repair may be required per visit. Covered repairs require an initial one-time 10-day waiting period before activation starting on the day of plan purchase. Preventive part replacements are not covered. A listed part must fail to qualify for replacement.
